...or How DA Has Helped Me Grow as an Artist
My nature has always been to create. Even when creating utilitarian items, I have always strived to be artistic about it. People have always enjoyed my artistic endeavors. However, there is something inspiring to gain validation by recognition, from people you consider your peers and superiors. It's great to have someone like my Art, and greater to know it has touched them or meant something to them, but when someone comments on one of my pieces or adds it to their Favourites, then I go to check out their work and see something extrordinary, it makes me realize that I am extraordinary too. Extraordinary people can do extraordinary things, and evoke extraordinary responses, and inspire extraordinary ideas, and bring about extraordinary change. Once I felt this sort of validation, I no longer felt limited as an artist, and when I was liberated in that fashion is when The Artist really took over within me.
